We have run the Hedge Fund Fight Nite in London now for 3 years with this December's event being the 4 th year and in the process have raised nearly USD1.5m for charities including Operation Smile, Honeypot, The Rainbow Trust and Tour Aid.  

As you probably now realise the concept is very simple - we train up guys from the hedge fund and wider financial industry to stand up in the ring and fight against each other in aid of charity. We urge you to look at the London website and click on the reports and video clips from previous years. Most of these guys have never boxed before and come the night you will probably know many of them thus giving you a chance to roar them on and add to your enjoyment of the night. In effect through the efforts of the hedge fund and private equity industries and the blood, sweat and tears of the fighters we have managed to change the lives of literally hundreds of children. It has proved a hugely popular event and is now firmly a fixture in the events calendar of the alternative industry in London. The original idea was to take our first international event to New York but a chance meeting with the guys from Ironmonger Events and then Andrew Won Kee at Jab led to us taking the brand to Hong Kong.   Both are excellent organisations in their space and we thank them for putting on the show. The Conrad Hotel has been booked for November 28 th and Hedge Fund Fight Nite Hong Kong is set and all we need now are the 16 willing participants and you to sponsor the tables.

Note that unlike other industry boxing events this is a purely altruistic venture. Apart from the two organisations above (and they deeply discounted their services) nobody takes anything out of this. It is 100% a charity event. Payment

The principal beneficiary of this event, Operation Smile, mobilises international teams of expert volunteer medical professionals to perform reconstructive surgery on children with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. Each two-week medical mission, which costs approximately $150,000 to fully fund, typically changes the lives of 125 children. The aim of this event is to fully sponsor one or more Hedge Fund Missions in 2007.

The cost of the tables are in three tiers - Diamond, Platinum and Gold - depending on the distance from the ring. Please see the link on this page to see the table locations. All tables seat 10 people.

Because we are expecting strong demand for this inaugural Hong Kong event we will be selling the tables on a purely first come first served basis and on money collected.  We will only hold a table before payment is received for a short period of time.  This year one cheque should be made payable to 'Hedge Fund Fight Nite' for the full amount of the table.
